The Duke Department of Pediatrics invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position within the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Ideal candidates will have a clinical and research interest in coagulation/thrombosis, hemoglobinopathies, vascular anomalies, bone marrow failure, or other areas of pediatric hematology. Candidates must hold an MD or MD/PhD degree and be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.

The selected candidate will join the Division of Hematology/Oncology to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services as a pediatric hematologist. The division includes 11 faculty members who lead a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers involved in both clinical care and research activities. The comprehensive clinics provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population with disorders of hemostasis/thrombosis, hemoglobinopathies, bone marrow failure, and vascular anomalies. Our mission is to provide excellence in clinical care and patient safety, to facilitate growth and advancement in the areas of training and education, and to pursue research in pediatric hematologic disorders. Our division is nationally ranked among pediatric hematology/oncology centers, and while the main clinical focus of this position will be with hematology patients, the candidate will also provide care for oncology patients in a more limited capacity. Opportunities for research collaborations with the adult hematology program and other divisions and departments within the university are readily available and strongly encouraged.
